We want every practice administrator, and every patient, to be able to use this.
DueWell Inc. is committed to making this website and the DueWell patient experience accessible to people with disabilities. Our conformance target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What this site does
- Semantic landmarks and heading structure on every page, with a “skip to main content” link as the first focusable element.
- Full keyboard operability — every control, including the ROI calculator’s sliders and disclosure toggles, is reachable and usable without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator.
- Color is never the only carrier of meaning. Charts include direct labels, a legend for multi-series figures, and a table alternative. Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 against its background.
- Animation is decorative and honors the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting; nothing flashes, auto-plays with sound, or moves in a way that can’t be paused. - Form fields carry visible labels, hints are programmatically associated, required fields are marked in more than color, and calculator results announce politely to assistive technology as they change.
- Images and graphics carry text alternatives; decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows to 320 CSS pixels wide without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.
How we test
Automated checks (axe-core) run on every build, and each page is reviewed by keyboard alone and with a screen reader (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS) before release. Known issues and their status are listed below; this page is updated whenever they change.
Known limitations
None currently logged. If you find one, it goes here with a target date.
The patient experience
The statements, payment pages, and portal that DueWell delivers on behalf of a practice are held to the same target. Text messages and emails are plain-language and screen-reader friendly, payment pages are keyboard-operable and support browser zoom, and the voice assistant identifies itself and can transfer to a person.
Tell us if something isn’t working
If you have difficulty using any part of this site or a DueWell patient page, email accessibility@duewell.io. Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use. We respond within two business days and will provide the content in an alternative format on request.
